Isabella II is the most luxurious of the boats cruising the Galapagos. She manages to combine the elegant and relaxed atmosphere of a small cruise ship with the real adventure of experiencing the islands.
She is well-equipped, thoughtfully designed for the Galapagos, and carries 3 experienced naturalist guides on board. Visits ashore are in small groups with each Zodiac choosing a different landing site in the vicinity so you still feel that you are encountering the islands directly. There is great attention to the ease of getting you into and out of the landing craft, and seamless and efficient organization aboard the mother vessel.
Facilities on board are more than ample for a boat of this capacity, with three public decks, a bar-salon, dining room, library, sun deck, observation area for dolphin and whale watching, Jacuzzi and solarium.
Cabins are neat and comfortable with air-conditioning and en suite facilities. Meals are à la carte and prepared to a high standard.
Isabella II's naturalist guides are knowledgeable and personable, with excellent observations and explanations in the field, superb on-deck talks, and eye-catching lectures on Galapagos wildlife. Star-gazing is a popular after-dinner activity.
Isabella II provides snorkeling equipment and a glass bottomed boat for those who prefer to see underwater life without being immersed in it.
