Sample itinerary (Grand Odyssey)
Day 1 (Sunday) - Arrival & Santa Cruz Island
Arrival and transfer to yacht. Afternoon visit to Dragon Hill, which will take you on a path from flamingo lagoons to the top of the hill, passing land iguanas and their nests.
Day 2 (Monday) - Santa Cruz & James Islands
Morning visit to Black Turtle Cove, accessible only by canoe, to visit the dark lagoon protected by a large mangrove forest. This is a great spot for seeing Pacific sea turtles. Afternoon visit to Chinese Hat on James Island, a tiny volcano with a fabulous beach surrounded by lava fields. This is a great place for snorkeling.
Day 3 (Tuesday) - Genovesa Island
Morning visit to Prince Phillip’s Steps on Genovesa Island to visit the Palo Santo forest which is a nesting ground for boobies. You’ll also visit Darwin Bay, a white sand coral beach which is the remain of a crater of a submerged volcano.
Day 4 (Wednesday) - Bartolomé and Santiago Islands
Morning visit to Bartolomé island, which is home to the most famous view in the archipelago. Here you’ll enjoy a climb to the highest peak to enjoy the view, and you may have a chance for some great snorkeling. You’ll also visit Sullivan Bay to enjoy a walk over lava fields.
Day 5 (Thursday) - Santa Cruz Island & Departure
Morning hike tin the highlands to take in the breathtaking view. Transfer to Baltra airport for departure.
