Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Quito & Quito City Tour
Airport pick-up and transfer to hotel. City tour of Quito including a visit to the Iglesia La Compañía de Jesús, the Cathedral, the Carondelet Palace and Alabado Museum (or Capilla del Hombre Museum). Meals included: -/L/-
Day 2 - Middle of the World & Otavalo
After breakfast you’ll visit the Intiñan Museu, located at 0 degrees on the line that divides the northern and southern hemisphere, and the Pululahua Crater before continuing with a stop in Cayambe to try some delicious local baking and cheese. When you reach Otavalo, one of the most important indigenous markets in the world, you’ll visit the Plaza de Ponchos famous for the wide range of furniture, tapestries, clothes, jewellery, hats and more. You’ll also visit the Penuche waterfall and the Casas de los Instrumentos Musicales de Viento. Meals included: B/L/-
Day 3 - Otavalo - Cotacachi - Quito
After breakfast you’ll visit Cotacachi, a small mountain town known for its leather crafts, Cuicocha Lake, a crater lake at the foot of Catacachi Volcano, and San Antonio de Ibarra, well known for its woodwork. You’ll then return to Quito. Meals included: B/L/-
Day 4 - Antizana or Cotopaxi
On day 4 you’ll have a choice between visiting the Antizana Reserve, ideal for hiking, visiting La Mica lake at 4000m or even do some condor spotting, or visiting Cotopaxi, the highest active volcano in the world at 5897m. During the Cotopaxi option you’ll visit the national park, enjoy the various ecosystems on your way up and visit Limpiopugo Lake. Meals included: B/L/-
